Today we celebrated the groundbreaking of a new solar farm at Collins Aerospace in Rockford. The farm will be RTX largest on-site solar project to date and help supply roughly 10 percent of our Plant 6 facility’s electricity needs annually. The Professional Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering (PrIME) engineers from Cohort 2 graduated after a 2-year program with Collins Aerospace. This is the second graduating class to complete this competitive program for early career engineers. Cohort 2 consisted of 6 engineers who spent three, 8-month rotations at various business units across Collins. The goal of PrIME is to provide early career engineers a diverse experience manufacturing technologies and to launch them on a path for future leadership roles. Congrats to all of our 2024 leadership program graduates.
