Wit’s End Coffeehouse, 630 10th St, will mark 10 years of waking up Marion with a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, March 1 at 10:00 a.m. Chamber Ambassadors will assist with the event. Commonly described as eclectic, quirky, and fun, the business opened in 2007 by Deb Witte inviting customers to “escape the mundane”. Current owner, Cathy Petersen, purchased the coffeehouse in December 2009 creating an environment perfect for a business meeting, gathering of friends or quiet reflection. “We’ve grown to fit the needs of our customers over the years,” says Petersen. “Getting to know them personally has been one of the greatest rewards. It’s fun to be a part of Uptown Marion.” In addition to coffee and tea, Wit’s End is well known for sweet treats, baking up a variety of scones, coffee cake, and cinnamon rolls.
