Event Description: Few topics today evoke the same level of fascination as the Underground Railroad. It’s a history fraught with danger, hidden rooms and secret codes, but what was the Underground Railroad really like? Learn about the people and places of Iowa’s Underground Railroad as Michelle Poe, Director of Education at the African American Museum, presents “The Underground Railroad.” As part of Black History Month, Coe College Office of Student Affairs, Office of Multicultural Affairs and Diversity Focus are sponsoring this guest speaker and encourage the community to attend. The event will take place in Room C and Eppley Room in Lower Gage Memorial Union on the Coe College campus. This event is free and open to the public.
