Event Description: The history of Iowa's Lincoln Highway Byway will be presented by Janice Gammon. Success breeds success, and in 1903, after transcontinental motorists learned that the Omaha-Cedar Rapids-Marion-Clinton route was generally reliable, it became the first choice of coast-to-coast drivers and the choice of Carl Fisher when he formed the Lincoln Highway Association in 1913. Admission to the program and the exhibit is free courtesy of a grant from the McIntyre Foundation of Cedar Rapids.
