The nomination window for Marion’s Community Impact Award will be closing on Wednesday, January 31, at 11:15 p.m. The Marion Chamber of Commerce and the City of Marion are proud to partner on the Morris F. Neighbor Community Impact Award. The Community Impact Award was launched in 2021 in recognition of banker Morris F. Neighbor of Farmers State Bank. Through his leadership, the Neighbor family has given to countless capital campaigns, community events, and charitable non-profit groups. In addition, volunteerism and dedication to the community have remained a priority with the family and among bank staff. Phil Pfister was awarded the Community Impact Award in 2023. Community Impact Award nominees may be individuals, couples, or organizations whose volunteerism, outstanding service, and dedication have made a significant impact on the Marion community. Ideal candidates: Make a positive difference in the lives of fellow residents, Continually volunteer in Marion, Demonstrate a spirit of collaboration, Are enthusiastic about the community and its people, and Model integrity, exemplary character, and leadership.
