Businesses are invited to participate in Marion Goes Red

Heart disease is the No. 1 killer in men and women right here in Linn County, yet remarkably, it is the most preventable.  In 2019, 1 in 3 people will lose their life to heart disease and stroke.

To help raise awareness, Marion will Go Red for one week—May 3-12, 2019.  Our Go Red volunteers are planning the Marion Goes Red Kickoff Event in Marion, at Bistro 319, on Friday May 3rd, from 6-10 pm.   This is our very first year to highlight May as National Stroke Month with the American Heart Association’s Go Red movement.  We think there is no better place to do so than Marion!

We are reaching out to see if we can count on your support. Here are the ways you can help with the kickoff event:

  1. Become an Event sponsor.  Please contact us for opportunities available.  Your business will be listed on invitations, promotional materials, and on the Chamber Of Commerce website where tickets will be sold.
  2. Attend the Marion Goes Red Kickoff.  Purchase a VIP table for 6.  Receive a premium table, free drink tickets for 6, and other perks at a VIP table.   OR, purchase individual tickets to attend.  Mix and mingle with others who support this cause.   Tickets sold at bit.ly/MarionGoesRed
  3. Donate to the silent auction for the Marion Goes Red Kickoff.  We are looking for all price points for our items/experiences.   If you’re not sure what to donate, we are happy to share ideas or set up a time to discuss further.

We hope that you will also promote awareness at your business during the week of May 3-12.   We will send out additional ideas for how your business can spot light Stroke month in your workplace.

Thank you for your support. Please reach out to Therese or Lori for more information.
