Emery Place Assisted Living and Memory Care in Robins, IA, is proud to congratulate investor and board member, Sherry Buske, NP-C, CDE, in recognition of her extraordinary leadership in the healthcare field. Buske was recently named as a Sages of Clinical Services winner by the UnitedHealth Group (UHG) Center for Clinician Advancement in a ceremony in Minnetonka, Minnesota. Sherry was one of 114 winners selected out of the nearly 35,000 licensed clinicians. The Sages of Clinical Services Awards publicly recognizes licensed clinicians from nursing, social work, behavioral health, physician assistant, physicians, pharmacy and other disciplines on the interprofessional care team who serve in a variety of roles throughout the UHG enterprise. Buske holds several degrees and certifications in the medical field including: Masters in Nursing, Masters in Health Service Administration, Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified in Family Medicine and Certified Diabetes Educator. In 2014, Buske and family, along with six other investors, started a conversation about retirement living in the Robins area, north of Cedar Rapids. The vision of Emery Place was to provide aging citizens with an exceptional assisted living and memory care community. Emery Place was constructed on the Frentress/Sherman 100-year-old farm and homestead. The name “Emery” comes from Sherry’s grandfather, Emery Sherman.
