Ascent Therapy Group will celebrate the opening of their office in Marion with a ribbon cutting on Friday, May 13 at Noon. The office, located at 295 Tower Terrace Road, Ste B, opened in January and is strategically located in a large growth area of Marion to provide important mental health services.
“In the United States, we are facing a mental well-being crisis, and Iowa is no different than the rest of the country,” said Joella Gerber, Clinic Program Manager for Ascent Therapy Group. “Our therapists have lived, worked, and practiced in the Marion area for years. We recognized the need for additional providers in this growing area.”
Ascent Therapy Group has four experienced therapists. They include Amber Bennett, LMHC, RPT-S; Andrew Beer, Ph.D., LMFT, RPT-S; Tina Patterson, LMFT; and Marissa Quint, LMFT. The group provides evidence-based therapies and interventions to folks from across the lifespan and are able to address a variety of challenges, including anxiety, Autism, depression, relationship/marital stressors, LGBTQ+ related issues, trauma, social skills, and more.
Clients can expect to be greeted into a warm space with a provider who cares, provides safety, and has hope for healing. Relationships and connection are of utmost importance for Ascent Therapy Group, and all who come can expect to be treated as uniquely valued.
“We are excited to be a part of making Marion a place that supports the needs of the community in regard to mental wellbeing,” Gerber added. “We feel it's an excellent opportunity to be in an area where physical, social, and mental wellbeing are integrated into the community structure.”
