COUNTRY Financial Supports Marion Fire Department

COUNTRY Financial Representative Peg Fraser is pleased to announce the City of Marion Fire Department as a 2020 recipient of a COUNTRY Financial Operation Helping Heroes donation. Fraser will present the donation for $2500 at the fire department Wednesday, July 15 at 11 a.m. to Fire Chief Deb Krebill and Assistant Fire Chief Jason Hansen to assist with the purchase of an EVO 2 drone.

"The EVO 2 drone will be outfitted with dual sensors, one standard and one thermal imaging sensor, to assist our department in search and rescue scenarios, while also providing fire ground footage that can be used for training and/or investigative purposes” said Hansen. “The dual sensors make this drone multi use during day or nighttime hours, while also providing us access to areas off the beaten path."

“The Marion Fire Department is honored by the generosity and compassion of those at COUNTRY Financial, with their charitable gift to our department” said Chief Krebill. “COUNTRY Financial and Marion Fire Department are proud to share in the mission of serving, assisting, and enriching the lives of those in our communities.”

“I am very excited about the department moving into a new building and being able to help them with the transition” said Fraser. “I’m also a trustee for the Marion Independent School Districts’ Foundation and very active in my practice here so I’m delighted that this is taking place.”

COUNTRY Financial Representative Peg Fraser can be reached by phone number at (319) 626-3514 or her email peg.fraser@countryfinancial.com.

COUNTRY Financial will donate more than $3 million in 2020 to organizations and programs that support first responders, healthcare professionals and active duty service members, supporting the company’s vision to “enrich lives in the communities we serve.”

The Operation Helping Heroes program was created in 2015 to support non-profit events and programs that benefit active duty service members, veterans and their families. In 2019, COUNTRY Financial expanded the program and donated $700,000 to approximately 500 first responder and military organizations.
